About

Nose & Beyond is an independent guide for people who are thinking about facial aesthetic surgery in Türkiye. It covers the practical side of the decision: how the process usually works, what a trip involves, what things tend to cost, and how to judge a clinic or a surgeon before you commit.

Who this site is for

It is written for adults who live outside Türkiye, mainly in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, the Gulf region, Australia and Canada, and who want a calm, plain-language starting point. If you are still deciding whether to travel for a procedure, or you already have a shortlist and want better questions to ask, the guides are meant for you.

What we cover

  • Planning: timelines, budgets, travel, accommodation and recovery logistics.
  • Choosing: credentials to check, red flags, and questions worth asking your surgeon.
  • Safety: how to read reviews, social media claims and "before and after" posts with a critical eye.
  • Procedures: general explanations of what a procedure involves, so a consultation makes more sense.

What we do not do

  • We do not give medical advice, diagnose, or tell you which procedure suits you. Only a licensed surgeon who has examined you can do that. See the medical disclaimer.
  • We do not refer you to any clinic or doctor, and we do not receive money, commissions or referral fees from any clinic or doctor. See our disclosure.
  • We do not book appointments, arrange travel or act as an intermediary.
  • We do not rank clinics or surgeons, and we do not promise results.

Who writes it

The guides are published under the pen name Nora Whitfield. It is a pen name, not a real person's legal name. We use one because the focus of the site is the information, not the author. The name does not stand for a doctor or a clinic: the site has no clinic affiliations and takes no referral fees. The site is operated by Nora Whitfield (Nose & Beyond).

How we work

Health facts on this site come only from public and non-profit sources: government health services such as the NHS and Türkiye's Ministry of Health, non-profit professional societies such as ISAPS and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, universities, and peer-reviewed studies found through PubMed. No clinic, hospital group or agency is named or linked as a source. Hotel, flight and food prices are the one exception: they come from public price data and are shown with the date they were checked.

A source is opened and read before it is cited. Sometimes the published sources say nothing about a practical point, for example when patients in Türkiye are usually told they can shower after a nose job. The guide can then give the common practice there, labelled "editorial note" with the month it was added, so you can tell it apart from a cited fact.

Before a guide goes live, our editor reads it in full and it goes through a checklist that looks for any sentence that reads as medical advice and for the name of any clinic or doctor, compares a sample of the sources with what the guide says, recalculates the figures and tests the internal links. The guides report what official bodies and surgeons commonly say and leave decisions about your own treatment to your surgeon.

Each guide shows when it was first published and when it was last updated; if both fall on the same day, only the update date appears. The update date moves when a guide is reviewed or its content changes, such as a new figure, a new source or a rewritten section. Fixing wording or layout leaves it alone.

If you spot an error, an outdated figure or a source that no longer says what we quote, send the page address and what is wrong through the contact form or to hello@noseaesthetic.com. A link to your source helps. The editorial policy explains how reports are handled and how we use AI tools for research and drafting.
