Trip budget calculator

Add up what a trip for a procedure abroad could cost, line by line, in your own currency. Start from the clinic's written quote and add the costs a quote usually leaves out. Every field starts empty: the numbers are yours, not ours.

Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to us, and there is no sign-up. Amounts are not converted: enter all of them in the currency you choose.

Procedure

Use the total on an itemized written quote. Check what it includes before you add other lines, so nothing is counted twice.

Stay

How long to stay is your surgeon's call. Count the nights your surgeon advises, plus travel days.

One room. If the quote already includes hotel nights, enter only the extra nights here or leave it empty.

Travel

Companions, not counting you (0 to 5). Flights and food are multiplied by everyone travelling.

Airport transfers and trips to the clinic, if the quote does not include them.

Counted for each night of the stay and each person travelling.

Cover and extras

Travel insurance and any separate complication cover you buy. Ordinary holiday policies often exclude problems after planned surgery abroad: read the exclusions.

For example a visa fee, or medication and tests that the quote leaves out.

A percentage added on top of everything above, for extra nights, rebooked flights or small surprises. The size is your choice.

Total

This is a planning aid, not a quote. It adds up the figures you enter and nothing else. It contains no prices of its own, does not convert currencies and cannot tell you what a clinic, airline or hotel will charge.

Before you rely on the total

  • Ask for an itemized written quote and check what it includes: surgeon, facility, anaesthesia, tests, follow-up, revision policy, hotel nights, transfers and the currency.
  • Your length of stay and the date you can fly home come from your surgeon, not from this tool.
  • Read the exclusions of any insurance before you count on it.

Our free clinic checklist lists the questions to ask before you book.
