A clinic quote for rhinoplasty in Turkey rarely equals what you will spend. Flights, hotel nights, food, transfers, a travel companion and costs outside the package add up, and they differ a lot depending on where you fly from. This guide shows how to build a total budget line by line, with worked examples for five departure regions.
Key takeaways
- There is no neutral public price list for rhinoplasty in Turkey; the ranges in this guide are labeled illustrative planning values, not quotes.
- The surgery package is the largest line in every worked example, and the difference between departure regions comes almost entirely from the flight.
- Ask for an itemized written quote that names the surgeon, facility, anesthesia, follow-up, revision policy, hotel nights, transfers and currency.
- Turkish regulation says a facility must provide an itemized breakdown with unit prices alongside the receipt or invoice.
Every figure below is labeled. Numbers with a link come from a source I opened and checked on 9 October 2026. Everything else is an illustrative range: a planning value I chose so the arithmetic is visible, not a price anyone has quoted you.
How to read the numbers in this guide
There is no neutral, public price list for rhinoplasty in Turkey. The price guides published by clinics and agencies disagree with each other by thousands of dollars, and they are sales pages, so this guide does not rely on any one of them. The surgery ranges below are wide bands set to sit around the guides I checked. Treat them as a way to test your own quotes, not as a benchmark.
One sourced reference point from outside Turkey: the American Society of Plastic Surgeons lists an average rhinoplasty cost of $7,637 on its patient page, without stating the year. The same page says this average is “only part of the total price” and “does not include anesthesia, operating room facilities or other related expenses.” An average that leaves those out and an all-in travel package measure different things, so comparing them directly would mislead you.
Prices also change with exchange rates and demand. Ask which currency a quote is in and whether the price is fixed if rates move before you pay.
What does the budget look like, line by line?
All amounts are in US dollars. Lodging and meals assume 7 to 10 nights. That window brackets the NHS advice not to fly for 7 to 10 days after facial cosmetic procedures (the page was last reviewed in December 2022). Surgeons set their own timelines, so your real number of nights comes from your surgeon, not from this table.
| Line item | What it covers | Illustrative range |
|---|---|---|
| Surgery package, primary rhinoplasty | Surgeon, facility, anesthesia, any hospital night, depending on the package | $3,000 to $6,500 |
| Surgery package, revision or complex case | Same, for more involved work, usually quoted case by case | $4,500 to $9,000 |
| Round-trip flight | Economy, from your region | $120 to $3,000 (see below) |
| Lodging | 7 to 10 nights at $45 to $250 per night | $315 to $2,500 |
| Meals | $25 to $50 per day | $175 to $500 |
| Local transport | Airport transfers and clinic trips, if not in the package | $60 to $250 |
| Items outside the package | Tests, medication or supplies a quote leaves out | $50 to $300 |
| Travel insurance | A policy that covers the trip itself | $60 to $250 |
| Visa, if your passport needs one | Varies by nationality | Check the official page |
| Buffer | Extra nights, rebooked flights, small surprises | 10% of the subtotal in this guide |
For entry rules, use the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visa information page, which lists exemptions by nationality and links to the e-Visa system.
Flight prices and hotel rates move with the season, so the same trip can cost noticeably different amounts in different months. Our guide to the best season for a nose job covers timing.
Worked examples by departure region
Three scenarios show how the same trip changes with choices. Lean uses a budget hotel and a short stay. Mid uses a mid-range hotel and eight nights. Upper uses a higher-end hotel, ten nights and a higher package price. All inputs are illustrative.
| Assumption (per traveler) | Lean | Mid | Upper |
|---|---|---|---|
| Surgery package | $3,000 | $4,750 | $6,500 |
| Nights | 7 | 8 | 10 |
| Hotel per night | $45 | $125 | $250 |
| Meals per day | $25 | $35 | $50 |
| Local transport | $60 | $120 | $250 |
| Items outside the package | $50 | $150 | $300 |
| Travel insurance | $60 | $120 | $250 |
| Subtotal before flight | $3,660 | $6,420 | $10,300 |
Add the round-trip flight for your region. Lean uses the low end of the flight range, Upper uses the high end, and Mid uses the flight shown in the middle column, so you can redo the sum yourself: subtotal before flight plus flight equals total. The totals below were calculated with Python from the inputs above.
| Departure region | Illustrative flight range | Flight used in Mid | Lean total | Mid total | Upper total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| United States (East Coast) | $650 to $1,400 | $950 | $4,310 | $7,370 | $11,700 |
| Canada (Toronto, Montreal) | $600 to $1,300 | $900 | $4,260 | $7,320 | $11,600 |
| UK and Western Europe | $120 to $450 | $250 | $3,780 | $6,670 | $10,750 |
| Gulf states | $250 to $800 | $450 | $3,910 | $6,870 | $11,100 |
| Australia (east coast) | $1,300 to $3,000 | $1,900 | $4,960 | $8,320 | $13,300 |
Two patterns stand out. First, the surgery package is the largest line in every example: for the US East Coast it is about 70% of the Lean total, 65% of Mid and 56% of Upper. Second, the gap between regions comes almost entirely from the flight, while the gap between scenarios comes from hotel, stay length and package price.
A revision or complex case changes the picture. Swapping the $4,500 to $9,000 revision band into the Mid scenario gives roughly $7,120 to $11,620 from the US East Coast and $6,420 to $10,920 from the UK and Western Europe. Read more about that route in our guide to revision rhinoplasty.
If someone comes with you
A companion adds a flight and meals. This table assumes you share one hotel room, which may not hold if your hotel charges per person.
| Departure region | Lean | Mid | Upper |
|---|---|---|---|
| United States (East Coast) | $825 | $1,230 | $1,900 |
| Canada (Toronto, Montreal) | $775 | $1,180 | $1,800 |
| UK and Western Europe | $295 | $530 | $950 |
| Gulf states | $425 | $730 | $1,300 |
| Australia (east coast) | $1,475 | $2,180 | $3,500 |
The 10% buffer
Ten percent is a planning choice, not a rule. For the Mid scenario from the US East Coast it adds about $737, taking the solo total to roughly $8,107. From the UK and Western Europe it adds about $667, for roughly $7,337. One extra night in the Mid scenario costs about $160 (hotel plus meals), so three extra nights alone use $480 of that buffer.
Which costs are easy to miss?
- Travel insurance that does not cover surgery problems. The NHS says your travel insurance “does not normally cover if things go wrong in surgery”. BAPRAS, the UK plastic surgery association, says it is unusual for a holiday policy to cover problems during or after planned elective surgery abroad, and that holiday insurance does not usually cover the cost of getting home if complications occur. Read the exclusions before you rely on a policy, and ask your insurer in writing.
- Follow-up after you go home. BAPRAS notes that returning to see the surgeon after complications “could add hundreds of pounds as well as involve significant time away from work.” That is a UK association’s estimate in pounds; your own return costs depend on where you live. Ask what the clinic offers by video or photo review and what it charges for a return visit.
- A longer stay than planned. Flights can be rebooked and hotel nights extended, both at your expense unless the package says otherwise. See our guide on flying after a nose job for the timing questions to raise.
- Where you stay. Hotel prices differ sharply between districts. Our Istanbul district guide helps you compare areas.
- Medication and supplies bought outside the clinic. A quote may omit them.
What to ask about every package price
Two quotes with the same headline price can include very different things. Ask for an itemized quote in writing and check each line:
- Surgeon’s fee, and the name of the surgeon who will operate
- Hospital or clinic facility fee, and the number of nights included
- Anesthesia and the anesthesiologist’s fee
- Pre-operative tests and any imaging
- Splint, dressings and medication after surgery
- Follow-up visits in Istanbul, and any check-ins after you leave
- Revision policy: what is covered, for how long, and what you would pay
- Number and category of hotel nights, plus airport and clinic transfers
- Interpreter, if you need one
- Your companion’s room and meals
- Payment schedule, deposit, refund and cancellation terms
- The currency of the quote
What does Turkish regulation say you can ask for?
Türkiye’s regulation on international health tourism was published in the Official Gazette on 26 April 2025 (No. 32882). I read the Turkish text. Under it:
- Facilities and intermediary companies need an International Health Tourism Authorization Certificate to work with international patients (Article 5). The Ministry of Health issues it to facilities and USHAŞ, the state’s international health services company, to intermediaries.
- A facility must provide an itemized breakdown with unit prices alongside the receipt or invoice, and on request, free of charge, a list of the drugs and supplies used and charged, plus lab and imaging results you paid for (Article 12).
- An intermediary must provide an itemized breakdown of what it charges for accommodation, transport, transfers, interpreting and advice (Article 12).
- For surgery in an operating room, the facility must take out complication insurance (Article 6). The regulation gave facilities until 31 December 2025 to comply.
- A facility may accept an international patient who applies directly, without an intermediary (Article 6), so you can ask what an agency adds to the price.
- The company name on a website must match the name on its certificate (Article 13).
This is a summary of the text, not legal advice. I did not verify how closely individual providers follow it, so ask to see the documents.
You can check authorization on the Ministry of Health’s page for authorized healthcare providers, which links to lists of authorized hospitals, medical centers and private practices, and on the HealthTürkiye agency page, which lists authorized intermediaries with their certificate numbers. Match the legal name and certificate number on your contract to the list.
Before you pay a deposit, vet the surgeon as carefully as the price. Our guide to the influencer trap in aesthetic surgery explains how to check credentials through official registers.
