Turkey and UK prices for facial surgery, side by side

Turkish surgery ranges in pounds next to the private prices the NHS publishes, plus what the whole trip from London comes to.

The NHS cosmetic surgery pages give guide prices for having these operations done privately in the UK. 6 of our fourteen procedures have such a range, and they are the only ones that can be compared this way. Revision rhinoplasty, brow lift, forehead reduction and the chin, jaw, cheek and lip operations have no NHS figure, so they are left out.

For the nose, the Turkish surgery range is £3,385–£5,500 against £4,000–£7,000 in the UK. The whole trip from London, with the flight, 8 nights and food, comes to £4,460–£6,740. The facelift is the other way to read it: the UK figure is an upper limit for a face and neck lift together, up to £10,000, while the Turkish trip from London is £7,220–£9,930.

Reading the two columns

The Turkish figure is our estimate of the surgeon’s fee, converted from euros. The UK range comes from the NHS and is a guide to what private clinics charge, and a range cannot tell you what any one clinic’s price includes. Ask both sides for a written quote that names the surgeon, the anaesthetist, the hospital stay and the follow-up, then compare those, not the headline numbers.

The whole-trip column is the surgery range plus the flight from London and the stay in Istanbul for the nights we plan for each procedure. It is not a like-for-like price, because it includes costs a UK quote does not have, such as a hotel. The London page breaks the trip into its parts for all fourteen procedures, and the NHS advises against flying for 7 to 10 days after facial cosmetic surgery, which is why the nights are not trimmed.

Method and sources

Everything is converted with one fixed table of rates, so the figures do not move from day to day. Totals are rounded to the nearest 10. This page is general planning information, not medical advice, and it does not recommend a clinic or a surgeon.
