Cosmetic surgery in Turkey from the UK: what the trip costs

What each of fourteen procedures adds up to from London, with the return flight, an Istanbul hotel, food and transfers, in pounds and in euros.

Prices reviewed October 2026 · Exchange rates: Central Bank of Türkiye, 9 October 2026

The surgery fee is the number clinics lead with, but from London it is only part of the bill. This page prices the whole trip to Istanbul: the surgery range, a return flight, hotel nights, food, local transport and the airport transfers. Of the five departure cities we price, London has the cheapest typical fare to Istanbul.

Flights are the line that changes most between pages. The KAYAK range for London to Istanbul is £116–£282, with £186 as the typical fare. For a rhinoplasty that fare is about 3% of the typical total.

These totals are for one traveller. A companion adds a second flight and meals; the calculator handles that. The totals assume one room in Istanbul. For other Turkish cities, see the Antalya, Izmir and Ankara pages, or the Istanbul page for a night-by-night breakdown.

The clock and the calendar

Turkey stays on UTC+3 all year and does not change its clocks. Istanbul is three hours ahead of London in winter and two in summer, a small shift that matters mostly for early appointments.

What the official guidance says

The NHS page on cosmetic surgery abroad is the UK’s own starting point. It tells you to find out how surgeons and clinics are regulated in the country, to have two consultations with the surgeon who will operate, and to be wary of surgery sold as a holiday. It says travel insurance does not normally cover problems after surgery and that follow-up abroad may not match what you would get at home. It also advises against flying for 7 to 10 days after facial cosmetic procedures.

Coming home

Put the totals above next to what the NHS publishes for private surgery in Britain on the Turkey vs UK page. Before you pay a deposit, ask the clinic in writing who deals with a complication after you are home, and what that costs.

Method and sources

Everything is converted with one fixed table of rates, so the figures do not move from day to day. Totals are rounded to the nearest 10. This page is general planning information, not medical advice, and it does not recommend a clinic or a surgeon.
